Committee’s Goals Set at Individual Retreats
Christian Education - 2011
§ The Christian Education committee will meet once a month for the first four months of 2011 in order to stay focused on the things that we want to accomplish.  During this time we will research other churches Christian Education programs to determine best practices.  We will re-evaluate our meeting frequency in June.
§ We need to develop and implement a plan for teacher development.  We would like to have five new teachers and three new teacher assistants by September 2011 and to be able to offer training opportunities for them.  We will look into hosting an area wide teacher training.
§ We would like to increase our Youth Group membership by 100%
Christian Education - 2012
§ We will hold parent orientations on a quarterly basis in order to keep parents informed about what is happening in Sunday School and to get feedback from parents that will help us to keep families coming to Sunday School.
§ We would like to increase our Sunday School attendance by 50% and be able to hold separate classes for Junior and Senior High School students.
§ We will develop new adult education opportunities and have two new adult classes available.  Home based small group studies is one possibility to be considered.
